1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CredI (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

CredI is operated by CredI ("we," "our," or "us"). The Service includes the CredI mobile application and website.

2. Description of Service

CredI is a personal finance tool that helps users optimize their credit card rewards. The Service:

Connects to your bank accounts via Plaid to retrieve transaction data
Analyzes transactions to recommend the best credit card for each purchase category
Calculates missed rewards and optimization opportunities
Allows you to set and track financial goals

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Financial Data and Plaid

By connecting a bank account through the Service, you authorize us to use Plaid Inc. to access your financial data as described in our Privacy Policy. You also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.

You may disconnect your bank account at any time through the app, which will stop data syncing and revoke access.

5. Important Disclaimers

5.1 Not Financial Advice

CredI provides informational tools and recommendations to help you understand your credit card rewards. CredI does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Our recommendations are based on publicly available credit card reward structures and your transaction data. They do not account for your complete financial situation.

You should not rely solely on CredI's recommendations when making financial decisions. Consult a qualified financial advisor for personalized advice.

5.2 Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep our credit card database accurate and up to date. However, credit card issuers may change reward structures, terms, and benefits at any time. We do not guarantee that reward rates, card benefits, or calculations shown in the Service are current or error-free.

Always verify reward rates and terms directly with your card issuer.

5.3 Transaction Data

Transaction data is provided by your bank via Plaid. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Transaction categorization is approximate and may not always reflect the exact nature of a purchase.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
Attempt to access another user's account or data
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our permission
Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
Use the Service to commit fraud or misrepresent your identity

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, algorithms, card database, and content, is owned by CredI and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over your financial data, goals, or personal information.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If we discontinue the Service, we will provide reasonable notice and allow you to export or delete your data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CredI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or financial losses arising from:

Your use of or inability to use the Service
Inaccurate reward calculations or card recommendations
Unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to maintain account security
Errors in transaction data provided by your bank or Plaid
Any financial decisions you make based on information from the Service

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CredI and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users. We will provide notice before termination when possible.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Small claims court actions are exempt from this arbitration requirement.
